whatever State you are in gets the GST , not the Federal Government ..
The states have still not dropped taxes and Levies that they were supposed to , so The states are collecting tax on taxes and are happy to do so , because most believe it is the Federal Governments fault ..
NSW still have not dropped Stamp duty , a tax by any other name ..
Gst is also payable on Stamp duty ..
Fire service LEVY is another one , added to insurance policies then charged GST .
