Same here, have made plenty on trading SLR and EVN to cover this failure. There are other gold explorers on ASX with no resources that have higher market caps than this. Currently trading on sentiment or the expectation that issues won't be fixed in my opinion. Thinking the same thing as you, could be a great opportunity as a turnaround play, that's why I am wondering about the CIL tech and how they could stuff it up so easily, and whether or not the problems can be easily fixed. I could understand if it was rare earths we were dealing with, I thought building a CIL plant to extract gold should have been a fairly straight forward process.
