Greetings from Tromso, Norway. I'm on the opposite side of the world, first day of a 9week honeymoon. Just arrived yesterday... Looks like it's been 2 interesting days of trading since I've been away!

Temperature is ranging from negative -1 to negative -6.... Taking some time to get used to (considering Melbourne was 32 degrees when I left!)

Anyway, my take on this action is that this individual announcement isn't the bees knees, but it fits another piece of the puzzle. It reminds the investing community that EVERY level of US government wants/NEEDS to get this brominated crap banned. As such it's only a matter of time until the legislation changes.

Someone earlier in the thread mentioned that this was quite limited in its application. For instance, not including automotive...

But...

Once brominated chemicals become banned from child's products and consumers understand what brominated FR is. Why it's banned etc. They will then have the capability of making informed decisions... If consumers can get a car that has the toxic FR, or one that has non toxic FR, which one would they go for....

So the AWARENESS is just as important as the exact wording of the legislative ban.

Anyway, I think I'm waffling on because the thought of anything to do with fire is the only thing keeping me warm at the moment.
