You raised two very important points.
1) Adding corporate expertise would be of considerable benefit.
2) GTE can really only bring a CR to the table.

If the backers of the company we're approaching had funds to inject, they'd be injecting them and would have no need of us. We have no cash of our own to tip in.

The big questions will be:
1) How much do we need to raise?
2) What price per share?

On balance I will be extremely pleased if the deal goes through. It's much better to have a bunch of $0.001 shares in an actual discovery than $0.001 shares in a couple of holes and an EM survey...
