As for the CFO resignation, several diverse theories are possible, including the one offered in the resignation statement. Your explanation (distancing from "tainted associates") doesn't make sense at all because (a) Sacre's new role likely has ongoing active involvement with those "tainted associates" and (b) he worked at G8 for eight years!
