Auckland Council retail bond offer closes

Auckland Council closed its retail bond offer today, Wednesday 23 March 2016,
having successfully raised NZ$250 million.

The interest rate for the bonds has been set at 3.04% per annum, reflecting a
margin of 0.60% per annum over the effective swap rate for the four year
period.

"We are very happy with the outcome and would like to thank investors for
their continued support of Auckland Council," says Treasurer John Bishop.

The offer settles on 30 March 2016. It is expected the bonds will be quoted
on the NZX Debt Market from 31 March 2016.
