ESRI is satellite-based, I understand, while SFI and NEA are literally more down-to-earth because they use airplanes. Comparing ESRI to SFI/NEA is like comparing Newmont to Troy. Not that ESRI is public listed, yet. Should be mindful of that saying in the cult world of survival knives "a big knife can do what a small knife does, but not the reverse"; that does not apply to ESRI and NEA/SFI.

BOQ baulked at the opportunity because it is a very costly and lengthy exercise. But on attaining accreditation, these two will rank up there with the big four in terms of specific capital adequacy ratios and related risks weightings. Put very simplistically, that's equivalent to a gold producer's AISC dropping by 30%, just like that.
