That abstract was written five years ago . It discusses lipophilicity of such compounds as isoniazid and fluconazole, which have long been used for treatment of diseases such as tuberculosis and vaginal yeast infections.
It would be interesting to know if any current study of mycobacteria and fungi look promising for CNS degenerative disease and cross the blood-brain barrier, and especially show proof of safety and efficacy.
