Nice turn of phrase.
Turnbull just has to stumble along for another couple of months, then he can ditch Morrison after the election if he still sees him as a threat. They will just have to smile nicely for the cameras at budget time and can keep the enmity behind the scenes.
A PM/Treasurer spat is not a great recipe for a inspiring budget with but then in all likelihood it was always going to be predictably safe and uninspiring pre-election.
