When charging the ZBM used to give off fumes from the gas relief valve. Staff used to complain of the smell and headaches in the mornings, from a locked room overnite with ZBM's charging. They (5 years ago) put a tube from the gas relief relief valve into carbon canister to stop the fumes. But is there an independent test result of the levels and content of gas fumes levels from being fully charged?
Possibly would not be suitable for indoors. The latest Redflow documentation says it is effectively the same as lead acid.
Anybody who has worked with lead acid batteries being fully charged, would know the last stage is very gaseous and acid fumes can be smelt. So does that mean bromine fumes can be smelt.
Whereas Lithium is suitable for indoors, but not to eat for breakfast.
The metal bits used to corrode from the fumes. The battery cabinet has to be sealed from the electronic cabinet, because of the corrosive gaseous fumes. These problems have been fixed and there is no drama.
If the plastic container is punctured then there is a bromine spill.
