No - I can't remember if I have ever discussed dividends with NC - certainly not in detail.
I did speak briefly with one of them - NC or GR - on the philosophy of dividends - and, I was told that that was the strategy ---- ?? it must have been Nick I suppose - I haven't had many cons. with GR - and, I probably would have remembered that one.
I have heard that it is hoped to start soon - but, I have not heard that first hand - but, from a very reliable source (IMO, it's reliable).
Personally, I don't think they will have a choice as long as we keep with the low asset model - it will just be too dangerous to have a huge kitty hanging around - and, our growth costs won't be much - once the larger revenue starts to flow - which should be in a couple of quarters if I am right. (what I mean by much - is a percentage of what we are making).
GR brought up the 'near bid' thing - and, I was a bit surprised at that - because he has the power to stop that sort of thing - well, mostly - certainly block a full takeover - so, I couldn't see the problem.
I just can't see that someone will have a slash in the near future - unless they are thick - because they would have no chance of getting the whole pie - and, I would have thought that it would be possible to get near 20% - and, that would give you a pole position without making enemies.
This mornings email IMO - is very important - but, I need some greater detail - because - it was Parsifal who brought it up initially - this might create a lot of discussions in Israel right now - and, I could easily see that.
I could easily see also - depending on what goss they get - that they might hit the panic button for a blocking stake -------------- I sure as hell would.
That would change the whole game that we have now ------ bugger the non interest from instos - and bugger if they all do get excited in the next 10 days -- if someone really hits the frights button and goes for a blocker --------- everyone who wants a piece of this will have to run very very hard - and, we will all be back drinking Fizz and laughing at these downers - watching them in the dust in the rear view.
I am not saying it will happen - it well may not -- but, one has to think - this could well be a very big spanner in the Israel works.
