NT Govt mulls $60m for 14 inch pipe, page-2

    Business case for NT Govt paying $60m to get the larger 14 inch pipe is that royalties for the additional gas, via the larger pipe, pay back the expenditure and eventually make a profit on it. As opposed to off shore gas inland gas royalties are paid to state/ territory governments. Also, the additional demand for gas encourages further exploration and development of NT gas resources.
