Further information:
Found more detail on the photo you posted: it is a flight from 25th June 2013 (my statement of 3 years ago wasn't quite accurate).
From the recent manned flight (see below), there also does not seem to be a parachute on board; there is however something behind the pilot's head, my guess would be that it is an auto inflating life vest, used to keep the aircraft upright - aiding rescue - in case the aircraft is ditched (you can see the unit behind the head in more detail in the second image below).
