boydie63 not sure exactly what you're referring to or whether you're just taking the piss and being sarcastic or whatever...i don't know.

what i do know are 2 things:
1. my 2 lines of comment will in no way shape or form have any impact whatsoever on AMC's price action. this is the first time i visit the AMC thread and from what i've gathered, the gibberish i've so far read will likely have the same impact.
2. i have backed my call...in fact for a measly $1300 outlay, which is also my maximum risk, i have exposure equivalent to 20,000 shares to the downside...that's $294,000 and all i can risk from now until the end of may is $1300. a 5%-10% fall in the share price over the next 2 months and i'm easily making multiple times my money, while my max profit @ 1300 is about 15:1.

have a look at what AMC has done over the past 12 months every time it's hit these levels...5%-15% pullback within a few weeks. and if i'm wrong, well that's what makes a market right? you buy, i sell. i could probably get some of the $1300 back, move on and look for another opportunity. alternatively, i'll drop $1300 over a 2 month period on close to a $300k position...probably less than the carrying costs if you hold the stock on margin.

finally, i was also pointing out, as a service to long term portfolio holders, that if you feel the markets are a bit overcooked and you wanted to hedge out your position in the event that we see a leg lower, then there's some good value put options that you can buy out of the money, so let's say my call is correct and we do see a 10%-15% correction, then you would probably halve those paper losses by selling the put options and receiving real cash money in your account.

as i type, EU markets down 2%-3% and US futures are not as bad but heading in a similar direction.
