I have been browsing and came across an interesting paper by Tony Rechner (resigned as director of Strategic Graphite on 16 September 2013) from a conference in Xuzhou, China on 20-22 October 2004.
Interesting issues are:
- the difficulties in ensuring 90%+ Carbon purity (i.e to produce "in spec" product) were well known in 2004 and as far as I can see were not reported in the prospectus
- It was also known in 2004 that the company had environmental issues it needed to address (see item 3.3).
These were:
* Mine Rehabilitation
* Water disposal
* Surface water runoff
* Tailings dam management
I cannot see these mentioned in the prospectus and their resolution would have made the phase 1 objectives of the prospectus unrealistic (as it proved to be).
- there were safety issue with the plant that needed to be resolved which were not set out in the prospectus.
