Unfortunately for you, history will never allow you to rewrite your 'first post'. "Rightly so" needs substantiation if you want any respect attributed to your comments. Perhaps you don't. Quick word of advice....ramping comments on HC (either up or down) are unlikely to have any impact on SP. Frankly, we are a drop in the trading/investing ocean....even for 88e.

Which leads me to reflection on traders and investors. Particularly when looking at the the last couple of days and some of the comments flowing around.

Without intending to be pejorative, IMO they are two different animals that hunt differently and feed differently. Both are legitimate and there is room to co-exist, but they seem very territorial and snipe away when the other is tending to their respective business. Ironic though as both need each other to create the markets within which they hunt. 88e traders are hunting pips and they sniff their prey by reading charts that depict probable herd behaviour and by giving cursory attention to fundamentals. Their favourite hunting technique is the stampede over the cliff. On the other hand, 88e investors are hunting bags and they sniff their prey by reading fundamentals through announcements and independent research and giving cursory attention to charts. Their favourite hunting technique is to ignore all other prey while on the search for the elusive bags know to inhabit the fields over the horizon.

The traders have a high metabolism and need to feed regularly on pips. The investors have a slow metabolism and are content with the massive meal promised at the end of the long hunt.

The hunting ground for both traders and investors is sullied when scavengers who pretend to be either investors or traders (or sometimes simultaneously both), join the hunt. Clearly these scavengers are not hunters as they have no hunting tools. Those masquerading as traders run at the first sight of the congregation of a few pips. Those masquerading as investors have no idea what they are hunting and why, but choose to follow the herd and more importantly, the noisiest members of the herd. In both instances, these scavengers don't hang around for long. They occasionally become the prey of both traders and investors.
