It might just be a matter of semantics but robo-advice applies to companies like Wealthfront, Future Advisor or Stockpost. Their algo will produce your investment allocation and asset selection.

This is not an area you want to be in as a startup dispite all the hype around it. Margins will get crushed, Blackrock already took over Future Advisor. It wasn't a case of a seller's market, they sold themselves because they know scale will be hard to achieve and Blackrock already has it.

Just do the maths on the very few numbers we have from this deal. In the Robo-advice world $40m NOPAT at 0.5% management fee assuming you are a freak and are great at controlling cost, let's say margins as a young business still needing to invest in growth are a out of this world 25%, that's $32bn under management needed...more than 10 times the funds under management of the best robo advisor in the US...and you haven't even returned all capital to your original investors yet. Only 12 superfunds sites have more money under management in Australia.

Posting articles on robo-advice in reference to SRT/Intiger would be like posting articles on Boeing on a General Motors tread...Same broad classification as industrial and operating in transport but completely different models and dynamics. One can set the scene with a slick new aircraft the other is more restricted because of the competitive landscape.

If Intiger was indeed a robo-advisor I would not be anywhere near it. Who in their right mind would want to be? Any listed robo-advisor anywhere in the world?

I think talking about fintech broadly is one thing but article after article on robo-advisors is not exactly on point.

The most concerning thing is that if we asked 10 posters what Intiger does and how it makes its money, we would most likely get 9 different answers (surely we ll get at least 2 to agree)

Still a hold though....it s a stubborn stock, just doesn't want to capitulate...wait and see
