But even worse, ~60% of Australians surveyed over almost the entire two years Abbott was PM registered dissatisfaction with his performance because he betrayed the trust they placed in him.

It is of course your right to worship what IMO is Australia's worst ever PM and to have very low expectations of his performance, that even though his own political career was built by destroying other politicians.

As for the feeling of security you mentioned; on whose watch did we get the Lindt Cafe Siege, the terrorist shooting of a Police Officer in Sydney, the racist attacks against innocent Australian Muslims, violent riots by extremist neo-fascists on our streets and the anxiety Australians traveling abroad now experience?

And that despite or perhaps because of Abbott's $1.35b additional spend each year on 'security' and his race to re-engage Australia in conflicts throughout the Middle East.
