I think everyone gets the premise of the article, but as others have said, this is only the beginning. It's started a revolution (that probably should have happened years ago except for politicians being in coal miners pockets trying to convince people that spewing tonnes of CO2 into the air isn't a problem for the planet) and made electric and self-storage/solar etc popular. IMO Elon Musk is doing great things for this planet that others haven't had the balls to do in the past for fear of failure.
People are beginning to realise that we're leaving the planet in a terrible state for future generations and I think that's what this symbolises.
