Mr.cruel440, Victorians have been paying the prices for Jeff Kennett's war against workers since the early 1990s.
The damage he caused to regional Victoria was immense and widespread as private buyers walked a million miles from regional transport systems that were the lifeblood of the bush. As for the impact of the Kennett factor on Melbourne, it seems he thought staging a grand prix was all that was needed.
The answer is screaming itself at pollies but I note that even today Malcolm Turnbull is talking about the least useful and most expensive road tunnel project in Melbourne's history.
