BAL and A2M are both getting the majority of their Infant Formula sales via the grey market , are they not.
The cat and mouse game between the Daigou and the authorities will come to an end one day in favour of mainland chinese companies who are competing for market share against BAL , A2M and others.
The daigou are getting the recipients of the parcels to state its a gift to avoid taxes and are packing the product in smaller packages to avoid scrutiny, the daigous are not authorised to export product into china and eventually will be stopped imo.
To be licenced to export product into china involves many regulations and one of those would be supplying Chinese labelled product. The easiest way to stop Daigous would be to censor the social media sales sites where they tout for business . There are plenty of ways to cease this trade if the Chinese gov wanted to overnight.
BAL and A2M online sales are growing but also face regulation. Hopefully we can get clarity on their sales channel and future growth.
