The analyst says Guinness Peat Group, which bought 9.9% of Tower earlier this year and gained two seats on the board for its Australasian generals, Tony Gibbs and Gary Weiss, will not be able to underwrite such a capital raising because it would take them over the shareholder cap of 10% that is in place until September this year.
