The Chief Commercialisation Officer Role


We are seeking an energetic, enterprising and industrious leader who has a commercialisation background, preferably in a science research based entity, and has experience in growing business from the ground up. You will have an entrepreneurial spirit, but have the discipline of managing to targets and development of plans for success. You will understand sales management and distribution relationships. You should have a science background and understand how commercialisation interacts with R&D and the support R&D can provide to commercialisation. You will understand change management and be a good developer of people and teams. You may have experience in a large or small company and you will have the drive to succeed in your role.


Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide the leadership, management expertise, guidance and energy necessary to achieve the commercialisation and research and development goals established for the Australian Operations of the Anteo Diagnostics organization by the global management team and approved by the Board of Directors
• Develop, drive and update the strategic and operations plans for the Australian Operations business for approval by the Global CEO and Board of Directors and ensure they maintain alignment with the global business goals of Anteo Diagnostics.
• Direct and manage technical and business functions including research and development, technical development & production, commercial development, quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) within the Australian Operations
• Monitor the functions of Anteo Diagnostics to ensure that they efficiently and effectively provide required services whilst observing budgetary limits
• Provide reports of business development, technical progress and financial reports to the Global CEO and Board of Directors as requested
• Assist the Chief Executive and Financial Officers in developing commercialisation, operating and capital budgets
• Review financial statements, sales figures, business development reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas requiring cost management and product/service improvement
• Establish and implement policies, standard operating procedures, goals and objectives and confer with board members, executive management, and staff members as necessary to gain approval
• Manage staff levels - assign specific duties, and set objectives, recruit, assess performance determine and review compensation and oversee training and career plans for all staff in the Australian office.
• Develop and lead a team-first culture orientated to executing around the strategic plan and objectives.
• Mentor and forge solid, positive working relationships within the local employees as well as within the global organization
• Effectively communicate to staff Anteo Diagnostics strategy, business plans, directions and updates from the board and executive management
• Establish in conjunction with the board, executive management, and commercial development team, the commercial terms for goods and services provided by the Australian Operations
• Ensure the requirements of the US FCPA and UK Anti- Bribery laws and the Australian and EU equivalents are understood and adhered to by all employees.
• Assist in the integration of the Australian and European operations.
• Drive the Company Change program in which company culture is focused on responsibility, profitability and business sense.
