Do people honestly think he is going to take shares in lieu of a cash salary, come on let's be realistic. The guy still has to pay bills etc. You can't pay your mortgage with unvested shares! Yes he does get paid a considerable amount, but we (most) shareholders voted for it, hence it got the tick.
Not sure what all the shock is with this fundraise as it was clearly printed in the financial report that they would conduct one in April 2016.
Like other shareholders I am not happy about the delay (and have a fair chunk invested) but hey this is a tech start up. High risk / high reward and high potential for failure.
It's clear they have not been able to accomplish what they were after in the short term with fund raise. It's now a matter of waiting to see if Monday brings good, bad or further delays.
