I haven't been around that long but it seems like the obvious pattern is that people buy on speculation (the fanciful and emotional idea of massive gains) and then sell on news when the results can't possibly stack up to the unrealistic expectations people have set up.
I am sure I have seen plenty of long time traders quote "buy on speculation sell on news" to describe this short sighted thinking. I imagine the DTs make a lot of their income in such environments.
I more than doubled my holding today. Very happy with the LT outloook.
