Main point is, I'm less worried about Japan than I am the country (Australia) that has one of the worst NIIP positions in the world, collapsing exports, falling terms of trade, an unpopped property bubble, 25 years since the last recession and with most things being financing on a AAA credit rating...

Are you being an alarmist?What is our national debt? No way near compared to US or Europe and Japan.

Japan is the largest creditor nation? Debt is debt regardless if they borrowed from their citizen or foreign community. Their investment community is getting tired of nuying JGB and the BOJ is doing it on the nation's behalf. If there is going to be a debt implosion, I reckon the possibility of Japan is higher.

No more doom talk....
