Sparky, lol, you ARE confused.
This violence was NOT happening under Saddam. He might have been a despot, but he kept the peace.......through force when need be.
But they had jobs, electricity, water, and could walk the streets without being bombed..........this sectarian violence, 100 deaths a day, didnt happen then.
But then we liberated them........broke the bond (of fear of Saddam?) that held them together, and now the country is in ruins, and blood will flow for the next 20 years whether the coalition stays there or not.........
Dont believe me? Go to Baghdad, stand on a soapbox somewhere between the rubble that used to be buildings, attract a crowd, then tell them:"I'm Sparky, I'm so happy to have helped to liberate you........"
And they'll kill each other to get to you first, and not to kiss you either.............lol.
The invasion of Iraq was a mistake.
