it is not only the Govt. The opposition has proposed taxes on pension incomes.
We are the only country in the world that constantly meddles with retirement/super savings/ income. If Shorten gets in we will be taxed at all three levels (contribution, accumulation and pension withdrawal). No other country is stupid enough to do this. Our politicians have complicated the system beyond belief . Imagine if we did what smart countries do,......no tax on the way in, no tax during accumulation, tax it on the way out like normal income.
No politician will support taxing the family home any time soon. They would never get into office, or if they were already in they would be flushed out like an over full state school toilet .
