Thanks for this kmc...this is exactly the type of chart i haven't been able to source anywhere. I still think your estimation of approx $100/wmt is way too high. GBG and Karara have been doing a stack of cost cutting in the last 6-12 months...so I suspect it would be closer to $80 per tonne.
Regarding your estimation of $100 per tonne before profitability...are you referring to US dollars or AU dollars?
Having said that, the upward movement of the general iron ore spot price and improving conditions in China is very welcome. We may just get away with this one if it continues to improve rapidly like it appears to be at the moment.
