Groupthink? Confirmation bias? sub-standard due diligence processes? All of this things can happen.
We're approaching (but have perhaps not yet reached) the point where it's no longer warranted to say 'the due diligence processes were extensive, the PSD acquisition cannot be a complete write off', and appropriate to instead ask 'we were told the PSD acquisition was supported by extensive due diligence, so why is the PSD acquisition a complete write off?'
