Silly Question? What will happen to Australian brokers when the bubble burst (bank holiday, bla bla...), can we still cash out our stocks & withdraw?

No!

In the 1/1,000,000 chance the banks go down, everything goes down. My buddy Andy says that gold will save him but it won't, it's a psychological feelgood crutch that he will survive and the rest of us won't.

That includes gold shares as well as everything else.
