Even the cops don't necessarily know the road rules. One tried to give me a ticket for a perfectly legal (and safe) u-turn.

It would be a good idea if people just knew some of the basic rules like indicating at roundabouts. Or lane discipline. I think police time would be much better spent pulling people over and explaining the rules to them, not booking them but educating them, rather then mobile speed traps.

Or stupid safety messages, like "Let's change the way we look at speed". What am I supposed to do? Start speeding when it is safe to do so?
