They did have access to it but they specifically say on page 22: "it is difficult to have reasonable grounds to attribute a value to the processes and software assets"...I mean we are buying intangibles d'oh!!!!! Surely it has some value.
I think it was more an exercise of covering their ar$@es. My accounting classes were a while back but surely you can capitalize software expenses. I can't think of a reason why a startup would expense it (happy for an accountant to explain)
It showed in the pro forma from the Jan announcement, but 'only' $750k. That figure is just so light though
