with reference to stalkers on TLS- they can sometimes go out of control if they feel jaded, and hence the delusionary accusations.
sure, i literally did "escape with my life", because i averaged down on the TLS sp ,and as you rightly say it was akin to having a pitchfork up my clanger with the tension it created at the time.
good reference i might add to "floating your boat". you must be able to pick the time of incoming tide.
