Couple of items that need to be taken with a pinch of salt. Kapok & Paulsons were mentioned as narrow vein mining operations. Not true & far removed from the reality of an Old Pirate or Golden Hind scenario. Kapok was an underground bulk mining operation, mining Zinc & Lead up in the West Kimberley 82kms East of Fitzroy Crossing. Paulsons is also an underground bulk mining operation & of course the birthplace of NST. ( Item 2 ) Discussions with mining contractor. This i believe would be Kevin Craig of Craigs Mining based i believe in Alice Springs. Kevin & his sons would be the leading & best shaft sinking people in Australia, but i would hesitate as far as drive development & stoping are concerned. I am not sure what mining apart from shaft sinking Kevin has done in the last few years, but he did sink the 2 shafts & started preliminary development at the Elizabeth Hill Silver Mine 1 hour South of Karratha, but sold out before air leg stoping commenced.
