ST GEORGE VS THE DRAGON
Round 1 - St George discovers narrow high grade Nickel-Copper-PGE±Cobalt mineralisation associated with ENE trending shear zones associated with a large gravity structure in two out of three holes
Round 2 - St George discovers further narrow and high grade mineralisation, albeit not as intense overall as the initial set of results
Round 3 - St George discovers makes a broad moderate to high grade intercept at Stricklands, the first glimpse of a potential major system
Round 4 - A mixed bag of results including further high grade intercepts and a few duds
Round 5 - A world class Ni-Cu intersection on what is interpreted to be a potentially large discrete orebody
Round 6 - Very broad low grade gold intercept in drilling at Ascalon in the first hole, 237m @ 1.04g/t Au – concept confirmed, furthers holes planned for testing
Round 7 - Major capital raising announced - $65M raised at $1.25. WSA becomes a major shareholder in SGQ
Round 8 - Readjustment of the program at Mount Alexander – now two rigs: one focussed on continuing to drill the EM anomalies and newly generated conceptual targets, while the second rig starts to drill out from the best intersections at Stricklands and Investigators
Round 9 - Globally significant Ni-Cu resource at Mount Alexander Preliminary metallurgical and development studies commence. Concept study for mineability to commence, undertaken by top tier independent consultancy
Round 10 - Further new high grade and narrow discoveries, and a second larger system discovered in the western portion of the New Target Area. Coincides with a major base metal price surge on the back of falling stocks, project impairments and the unexpected rise in demand from a number of SE Asian countries
Round 11 - Now 5 rigs on double shift. 3 drilling out Ni resources, one on remaining testing further Ni targets, one rig out drilling deep holes at Ascalon which has now produced both broader low grade intersections (544m @ 1.32g/t Au) and a few nice higher grade hits on one of the margins of the system (including a ripper 23m @ 32g/t Au).
Round 12 - Preliminary Feasibility Study commences
Round 13 - Market Cap now sitting pretty over $1.25B. SGQ successfully wards of passive takeover/merger wish of WSA – the multi-commodity focus allows SGQ to retain its own identity.
Round 14 - SGQ also out in the Musgraves discovering Ni and Cu, and makes a bold move into the Gawler Craton.
Round 15 - The George hath slayeth the Dragon.
Hopefully it all plays out even remotely like this.
