In an attempt to anticipate a deregulation of the Pharmacy Industry which is yet to be determined, RHC has made under the table offers to purchase roughly 300 pharmacies with specific operational models in line with its own. eg. Pharmacies with large nursing home and hospital operations.
The legality of these offers are unknown as Pharmacy Authority stipulates only pharmacists can have a pecuniary interest in a pharmacy business, the structure may involve establishment of service entities that is directly or indirectly linked to the pharmacy business.
Furthermore, there have been rumours of key personell in the pharmacy industry been offered board positions in RHC.
