1. He would need to declare his change in holding fairly soon - not sure how many days after purchase, but not many. Hasn't happened yet.
2. If he purchased with knowledge of a mega-deal, ASIC would be down on him like a ton of bricks. This would also apply to an employee, although much harder to trace.
I think we assume that the CO is not silly, and is not the buyer. He would no doubt be happy that his holding is worth $ 4 mill more than it was last week !
