It seems like a desperate attempt for them to stay relevant and for shareholders to extract some sort of return. SEEK/Tiger have majority ownership now.
Naspers laid the classifieds ground work for many years in Africa. Rocket came come in with a bang! OAM have struggled staying relevant as a "house of brands" that internally did not get along well with one another. Ringier has also had its fair share of problems in Africa over the years.
