Having been on the ground and spoken to the Dept in the Solomon's, in the past, my view of recent events is that the Dept will have received a number of applications and they will be assessed on their merits (company funding, engagement with the local landowners, corporate responsibility, etc). The fact that Axiom has said that they will provide any additional information to the government suggests that what will happen is the government will short list the best PL applications, go back to the companies on the short list, get any clarifying information and then decide on who will get the PL. In this process I don't believe that there is anything such as being first in the queue. It is going to take some time to go through the process. This is not something which will get sorted in a week or two, as some posters have been claiming. There is the opportunity with the shareholder briefing sessions to ask RM about the process and the timeframe. Otherwise call the Dept in the Solomons and ask them.
