I did laugh a little when I saw you mention national treasure. Though the sentiment is absolutely correct.
Australia sells itself out too often and hopefully the government wakes up before its too late.
Other countries have strict control on foreign ownership. If Australia is as great as we like to say and can clearly see, then it should be protecting itself and it's assets from foreign ownership.
