I read the presentation - what I could understand from the abbreviations, etc. I learned that it's not over, that if there is to be another study, it will be better targeted and at higher dosages.
So while overall the drug did not have a better result than the placebo, it did have results in some patients. Even with accepted treatments, there are some patients for whom the results are poor. I know of a woman with cancer who has been on chemotherapy for six weeks prior to surgery in hopes that it will shrink the tumour before they operate. She has had zero results from the chemo. What works for some doesn't work for others.
