Hi Martin, on a mobile phone so unable to go into too much detail. Please re-read my post regarding its sole use to diagnose pneumonia.

Stethoscopes have been used for hundreds of years and most likely still have a healthy life ahead of them.

My thoughts only but their primary use is for the doctor to check their patients general well being (heart and breathing sounds) and through that check forward them on for further and more in depth diagnosis if requires. In the instance of suspected pneumonia an xray and blood test is required.

Hypothetically speaking patient A has already purchased the $149 stethoscopes at home. Rings a telehealth provider. Is inspected and proven to suspect fluid on the lungs. The patient is then forwarded to a clinic for an xray and blood test and concluded by a follow up telehealth consult. Only then can antibiotics be suscribed.

Hypotethically speaking patient B rings up with the same issue and coughs into ResApp (an FDA approved diagnosing app) and receives instant diagnosis. Script is provided then and there (maybe through a system like MDR) and are delivered to your door within hours.

You have valid points which need to be considered but as my original post in the sole purpose of diagnosing pneumonia there is no competition.
