The ASX is the wild wild west of financial markets. The "regulator" rarely does anything against the large companies that often flout the rules. For example the changes at the end of the day making sure the price of whatever they are buying finishes down by 1/2c. That is clear manipulation of the price, and has been ruled illegal by the High Court, yet they do it everyday.
It is one of the main reasons I started the email group, to give a bit of power to the smaller holders. We will not be run over by a large shareholder that wants to stack the board, do a T/O cheaply etc (one can often lead to the other).
