Thing with Stacking analysis is that until the printer spits out the 3D subsurface image I cant see how DW, or even a seasoned Geo, would have any idea what the sweetspot looks like or an estimate of the size based on such imaging. No doubt these imaging programs would give sweetspot size estimates based on seismic parameters but again this wouldnt be available until the data analysis has run its full course.

One thing I do know from researching this kind of seismic imaging as well as Basin Modelling and migrational flows is that the number crunching powers of todays processors is very fast so results should be pretty quick once theyve decided just how much of the acreage they want to subsurface image or the data to process.

So strictly speaking BBoarder you would be correct if DW wanted to preempt any such positive news.

The only problem he might have is that he would be well aware that the said data was being processed and there would be potential for this info to be market sensitive as we are probably expecting it might be if its being used to define the Icewine sweetspot. Given the company has stated they are using this 2D/3D data for what they call minimising Ice 2H drilling risk by IDing possible variations in the HRZ strata they are looking to drill then I cant see us getting any stack analysis info (or sweetspot imaging/size) given it may well be deemd deal sensitive prior to any acreage farm in/out deal.

So if they were to simply state that they have derisked the horizontal well bore via this 2D then its hardly overly market sensitive imo and DW should raise any eyebrows if this info was to be released.

As far as any conventional possibilities go I would think it will take a fair bit of 2D image interpretation before they released any info here.
