There's an old saying that you should always back self interest because at least you know it's trying. As incompetent as the previous Labor government was the shift back to the ALP tells you that many see this government as worse. Take for example the housing situation in Sydney. If you have a young family and are a first home buyer $1.1 million buys you a house in an area where you wouldn't want to live. The ALP says they'll address concessional taxation arrangements to place first home buyers on a level playing field with investors. The former treasurer tells you you should get a higher paying job while the tin eared PM tells you you should have rich parents. They then attribute their electoral problems to the stupidity of the voter....
