Well, I just had a trawl through the ASX Listing Rules and I couldn't even find an item noting a company MUST sent notification to SH 30 days (or even 20 Business Days) before the meeting.
Not Rule 14 - Meetings, Rule 15 - Requirements for Documents nor Rule 3 - Continuous Disclosure.
So either, I'm searching for the completely wrong terms, or it's all a bit of a furphy.
Either way, I would expect any documentation would "have" to be mailed. Surely, a company cannot rely on email / ASX release? Otherwise why would any company mail out Prospectuses, Notice of Meetings, etc?
