IMO, of course it matters who is buying (also who is selling). Just because there are buyers does not prove confidence (it may be , but then again it may not) in the future of the company. It may be (but then again it may not be) just short term speculation that this has bottomed (perhaps temporarily) with a consequent hope of quick smallish profit. There is always buying which requires consequent selling (and vice versa). What the motives on each side are - who knows?
The only known fact is that this company is in long term down trend, the reason for which is obvious and it ain't a good one.
