It's not actually "costing" the bot-masters -anything- 'ac' because (typically) they are selling and buying the exact same, 1 share/second, to -themselves- ie, same broker, just using two of their client accounts for the single share 'bot' trades and then 'snapping up' any 'real' sellers who happen to provide a 'tasty' sell-parcel along the way.
