People already associate the word "pitbull" with viciousness, death, savage, fighting and even death. This is a learned behavior from some previous given stimuli, which most likely they were introduced to, via media or person. The problem is that when an opinion is not abandoned, because it is such a humanistic trait to not be wrong, as this is a sign of weakness, neither scientific or conceptual objects can be constructed, just experience-based ones can. But the problem arises because the person already has these preformed set of ideals and opinions, which they use to never allow themselves to be subjected to an experience not of their liking. And so they will happily continue to associate "pitbulls" with those words described above, regardless of the fact they have never experienced contact with one before.
Much is the same with the attitudes towards Muslims.
